ha!
Last weekend I played a game of catch up. The first time I made it into my studio in a month :( Mostly focusing on unfinished works, giving them that last touch and presenting them. Now, lets hope I can meet the kinetic challenge, I've got my idea! On a scary, yet blessed note, my studio was broken into a couple of days ago. I got a call from my aunt who had the clipped lock. Keep in mind that it's in the back lot of a warehouse surrounded by 14" iron walls. NOT ONE THING WAS TAKEN. I have one of two theories:
- They were scoping the place out, they exited via tall ladder and wouldn't have been able to take much out.
- Someone smelt the pot my aunt smokes in the back and assumed my shack was a greenhouse of sorts. Dissapointed they left the thousands of dollars worth of silver and equipment alone.
I'm incredibly grateful that nothing was taken, but it's still rather unnerving. Not sure what to do at this point. A lot of suggestions of dummy cameras and noisy obstacles have been suggested. A ring to commemorate is definitely in order.

"I'd Rather Hustle"
A custom ring for one of my Starbucks co-workers. I originally engraved the letters with a fordom (which was a loner) and he wanted the letters darker, so I tried etching. I'm having a hard time getting a clear image with the etching, I see a lot of people doing it with silver though... any advise?
Flower #2
I decided to use the other half of the bracelet and make another flower ring. I still have two more flowers and scraps of the bracelet so I think I'm going to make matching necklaces ^.^
Flower #3
This was a cast piece that I made quite a while ago, it's actually the underside of a flower I dipped in wax. I'm not 100% happy with the leaf, I'd like to add something, but don't want it to look tacked on.
A little extra
My aunt has this ring that belonged to a relative. The back of the band had snapped and the general condition was tainted and dirty. I repaired and polished it for her (she wanted to keep the dents and scratches for the sake of keeping it's character, which is find since taking them out would require loss of gold)
That concludes my weekend activities! I hope I can continue to make it into the studio on a weekly basis, it's a hard knock life, but not so hard that I wont persevere.
