4/104 "Which way would you LIKE to go?"-Helping Hands

So, I started working on one of my more serious pieces, and then, my life got twistered upside down! So, instead, my half finished pieces wait while I sort things out and figure out what I can accomplish. I just might have to go back to 1 ring a week, I just went from working part time (while spending most of my extra time looking for another job) to working full time. An hour commute both ways and I've been working long hours, so it doesn't leave much room for me to get any sleep and make rings at the same time.

I had also been looking for a small apartment to move into and now that I have the full time work and a commute I'm going to be moving closer to work. I'm saddened because this entire year was about being able to work (artwise) where I live. No writing things down and waiting a month to see it happen. I'm home, I have an idea and bada-bing bada-boom I've get to work. But, life isn't always so convienient, and although I COULD stay where I'm at, it doesn't provide that sense of ease, or that I'm doing it because it's easier and not what I SHOULD be doing. In any case, I'll be here on weekends till I have a set up somewhere else, in the distant future.

All of this inspired another one of my "quickies" I have a sense of peace today, but this past week was emotional and mental hell. I didn't know what direction to step in. I took a cast away key from a past location and cut out the arrow shape with my saw. I haven't cleaned the flux stains yet, I was worried it would contaminate my silver pickle pot.

P.S. I've missed all the board posts for the past few days because my internet has been down at home. See you soon!

Very nice, I really like this one :) not only which way will you go, but also having a "key to the future"... or to opportunities, etc... nice touch :)

I love that you used a key, Rae! I spent last night brainstorming objects that I already own to use for a project I am assembling, but even my best idea feels just adequate. But your idea of using a key for the base of a ring is fabulous! :)
